Barney "Jim" Petty

Barney “Jim” Petty, 77, of Harrisburg, Arkansas died Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Harrisburg for over 25 years. Jim served his country in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired after 26 years, 4 months and 9 days. He was active in the ASU Booster Club, the VFW in Harrisburg, and the Disabled American Veterans. Jim was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors include his son, James Petty and wife Sherry of Harrisburg; daughter, Jackey Randol and husband Mark of Austin, Texas; one brother, five sisters and grandchildren, James Michael Randol, Christina Randol, MaryKatherine Randol.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Mitchell Cemetery near Greenway, Arkansas. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5-7 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
