Barbara Elizabeth Webb

Barbara Elizabeth Powers Webb entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 12:12pm. at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Barbara was born on June 13, 1929, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she remained a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of Raymond and Velva Mae Powers.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Fritz, of Jonesboro;
her Daughter Candace Ann Franks (husband Roger Allen Franks) and their daughter Ava Elizabeth Roberts (husband Eric Roberts);
her son, Dr. James Powers Webb (wife Deborah L Webb) Grandsons James Jacob Webb, and Dr. Zachary Dean Webb (wife Dr. Clairese Webb).
Barbara was married for 42 years to Dr. James W. Webb of Jonesboro, until he passed away in 1993. In 2005, she became reacquainted with a lifelong friend, William C. Westbrook, who remained by her side until her death.

Barbara's loved ones remember her as a woman of fashion who loved anything with animal print, big purses, and perfectly painted coral nails. She was a wonderful dancer who tried to teach her children unsuccessfully. She also loved to crappie fish with her parents. She loved to shop. Barbara was always looking to replace the infamous, yet discontinued Chanel "Hot Coral" Lipstick. she also enjoyed watching the TV land channel, her favorite show being "The Golden Girls". Her grandchildren fondly remember her delicious vegetable stew and watching old timey cartoons with her at her home. Barbara was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved them dearly.

Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E Nettleton, Jonesboro, AR. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Wayne Wiggins and Pete Murphy of the extended family officiating.
