Barbara Sue Tidwell

Barbara Sue Tidwell, 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life of Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Yermo, California on March 8, 1945 to the late Ernest and Edna Koonce. Barbara was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, traveling, and enjoyed visiting family in Jackson, Mississippi. Barbara loved to attend all of the festivities in Mt. View, Arkansas with her family. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Koonce; sisters, Patsy Alexander and Shirley McDaniels; and twin great granddaughters, Adalynn and Olivia Cole.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 15 years, Wayne Tidwell; her only child, Kristie Morgan (David); step children, Randy Tidwell (Marsha), Lisa Crawford (Steve), and Jennifer Cooper; brother, Roger Koonce; sisters, Earnestine “Pete” Griffin, Marilyn Boren, and Karen Wolf; grandchildren, Candyce Gartman (Ross), Amanda Tidwell, Cynthia Tidwell-Smith (Justin), Tara Cole (Tim), Tyler Cooper, and Tanner Cooper; and great grandson, Chase Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Paul Vincent officiating. The pallbearers will be Doug Bearden, Marcus Wolf, Rick Wolf, Steve Crawford, Damon “Kountry” Jones, and Mike Alexander.
The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home. In consideration of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
