Barbara Ann Stroud

Barbara Ann Stroud, 79, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born on December 21, 1932 in Atkins, AR to the late Fred and LorraineTreadaway . She was a loving ministry’s wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was past president for the Missions Board of North Arkansas Church of Nazarene, and an outstanding Sunday school teacher and speaker. Barbara’s loving soul and Christian example will always be remembered by all that had the opportunity to meet her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Eudell Stroud of the home; two daughters, Julia Roberts of Branson, MO and Donnie (Paul) Bloom of Jonesboro; one brother, Fred Treadaway Jr.; one sister, Mary Beth Emerson of Long View, TX; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Forest Home Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday at the Forest Home Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Friendship Sunday Class from the Forest Home Church of the Nazarene and the Men’s Group from Morrilton, Arkansas.
