Joanne Richardson

Barbara Joanne Richardson, 94, of Jonesboro, passed away on September 12, 2025, at Lawrence Hall Health and Rehab in Walnut Ridge. She was born on May 31, 1931, in Hoxie to the late S.L. and Blanche E. Richardson.

Joanne attended Draughon School of Business in Little Rock and went on to work as a loan specialist for the USA Farmers Home Administration in Jonesboro until her retirement. She had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the piano throughout her life. She was devoted a Christian and devoted to God. Known for her cheerful spirit, Joanne was deeply loved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Sidney Lee Richardson Jr., Thomas Richardson, and Keith Richardson.

Joanne is survived by her sister, Mary L. Bryant; several nieces and nephews; many grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and a lifetime of cherished friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, at Emerson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a graveside service following at Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas at 12 p.m.
