Barbara Jean Price

Barbara Jean (Kirksey) Price, age 72 of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her residence. Barb was born May 11, 1944 in Memphis, TN, to the late Wes Kirksey and Florance (Raines) Kirksey. Barb and her family moved to the Jonesboro area at an early age.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Lowell Thomas Price; sisters, Mary Mullican of Jonesboro and Carolyn Jones, of TN; and brother Leon Kirksey of California.

Barb is survived by one brother, Eddie Kirksey of TN and several nieces and nephews and a host of close friends.

Barb’s hobbies included knitting, collecting dolls, wood crafts, and bird watching. She was retired from Riceland Foods, and was a home maker.

A graveside service will be Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:30 pm in Pine Log Cemetery with Wendell King officiating and active pallbearers being Dennis Price, Lynn Price, Terry Williams, Nathan Price, Rick Price and Richard Shelby. Barb was a member of Oak Grove Baptist church since childhood. Emerson Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-1:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home prior to the service.
