Barbara Jean Posey

Barbara Jean Posey, 48, passed away peacefully in her home on July 1, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1976 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Robert and Margarette Posey.

Barbara had a zest for life and a love for simple pleasures. She enjoyed drinking her Coca-Cola, smoking her Mavericks, and watching her favorite TV shows, Power and The Chi. Known for her engaging conversations, Barbara loved talking on the phone with friends and family. A true jack of all trades, she could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Above all, she cherished spending time with her loved ones. Barbara was a caring and kind individual that just wanted peace and to be self-dependent. She was a woman of ambition that was on a mission.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margarette Posey; her daughter, Briana Lewis; her sister, Marryann Posey; and her brother, Herman Posey.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Posey; her brothers, Robert Posey and Bobby Posey; her sister, Mellean Guyton; her grandson, Braylen Posey; her uncle, James Gamble; her cousin, Theresa Bennett; her niece, Kendra Posey; and her nephew, Bobby Posey Jr.

Barbara's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
