Barbara Knuckles

Barbara Knuckles, 71, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She was born to Woodrow and Jewel Lawrence on February 11, 1945. Barbara taught English for over twenty years at Arkansas State University. She volunteered at the Pregnancy Resource Center and enjoyed reading her bible and going to Church at Calvary Chapel. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Jewel Lawrence; and brother, Paul Lawrence.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Randy Knuckles (Nita) and Tony Knuckles; daughter, Heather Jones; brothers, Earl Lawrence, Burl Lawrence, Mike Lawrence, and Melvin Lawrence; grandchildren, Dustin Knuckles, Josh Bacon, Jackie Knuckles, Dylan Knuckles, Taylor Jones, and Karlea Jones.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Calvary Chapel in Jonesboro on Thursday, September 8, 2016 with Pastor John Lawrence officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow the service at Pine Log Cemetery.
The visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm. In consideration of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Pregnancy Resource Center, 910 S. Main Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
