Born June 28, 1934, in Providence, Kentucky, June passed away at home Sunday. Formerly of Lake City, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Gene Cobb, son Charles Wayne Cobb and her parents, Ruby R. and Gladys Smith.
June is survived by son, Garry Cobb of Jonesboro, daughter, Joy Deneen Cobb of Jonesboro, and son, Tim Cobb of Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving are her brother, Roland Smith of Spring Hill, Florida and sister, LaQuita Tidwell of Long Beach, California.
She was blessed with four wonderful grandchildren and seven amazing great-grandchildren, along with an extended loving family and many dear friends.
June was of the Baptist belief and spent many years as a housewife raising her four children with husband, Max, on their family farm in Lake City. June later became a successful commercial and residential interior designer with projects across the United States. In her later years, June enjoyed life, with what she cherished most, and that was her family. She would light up each time she spent time with all her “grand-babies.” The most amazing blessing is that our mother, “Nana,” and “Memmie June,” will live forever in our cherished memories, thoughts, and hearts!
Visitation will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Jerry Jolly officiating.
