Barbara F. Carter, 54, of Trumann died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at her home. She had lived in Trumann most of her adult life and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Barbara was an educational interpreter for the hearing impaired and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Paul “Joe” Carter, of the home; one daughter Candia Gray and husband Chris, Paragould, her father, Robert E. Lee Loggains, Trumann; three brothers, four sisters and grandchildren Gregory Xevon, Christian, and Dorian. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Steve Singleton officiating and burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Chris Simmons, Ken Hardin, Ben Simmons, Alan Griffin, Mark Martin, and Tony Bennett. Honorary pallbearers are Stacy Prater and Chris Gray. Visitation will be from 5-7 Monday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
