Barbara Davis

Barbara Davis, 89, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, in Monette, Arkansas. She was born on November 16, 1936, in Caraway, Arkansas, to the late Virgil “Pete” Brooks and Charlene Clark.

Barbara was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted member of Bethabara Baptist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed working in her yard, loved her church dearly, and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Davis; her brother, Ronnie Brooks; her son, Mickey Joe Davis; and her daughters, Myra Davis, Rhonda Denise Davis, and Marie Annette Davis.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Mike (Stacy) Davis of Wooster, Arkansas, and Jim Davis of Lake City; her daughters, Mary Lee Davis and Susan Scott, both of Lake City; her sisters, Jimmie Taylor and Brenda (Donnie) Hutcheson, all of Lake City.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, J.K. (Carly) Davis of Wooster, Brock (Heather) Davis of Greenbriar, Lance (Mallory) Davis of Monette, Daniel (Marka) Davis of Monette, Natalie (Jake) Bland of Paragould, Cole (Allison) McGaha of Greenbriar, and Leighanne (Ryan) McDiarmid of Wooster; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered for her strong faith, her love for her family, her caring heart, and the joy she found in spending time with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Lake City Cemetery, with Bro. Danny Taylor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Barbara’s memory.
