Barbara Ann Cothren

Barbara Ann Cothren, 67, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late William “Bill” and Clara Davis on September 25, 1950 here in Jonesboro. She was a lifetime member of the Jonesboro area and was of the Baptist belief.

Early in Barbara’s life she attended Bay High school. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Club. Barbara was loved by many while positively impacting the lives of everyone she met. Most of all Barbara was a caring mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by her son: Jeffrey (Rhonda) Carter of Jonesboro; daughter: Trena(Chuck) Fisher of Jonesboro; brother: Johnny(Karen) Davis of West Plains; two sisters: Jewell Watson of Jonesboro and Norma (Bill) Evans of Trumann; seven grandchildren: Skyler Franks, Whitney(Derek) Compton, Blake(Allison) Carter, Kelsey(Bryan) House, Dylan Carter, Leah Carter, Aaron Carter; three great grandchildren: Gavin House, Jacee Shelby, and Zoey Franks.

A visitation will be Sunday March 18, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

A service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Harles Banks officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with active pallbearers will including: Bryan House, Charles Stone, Chuck Fisher, Dylan Carter, Aaron Carter, and Matthew Banks.
