Barbara "Bobbie" Osment

Barbara E. "Bobbie" Osment, 82, of Trumann, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, at home.

Born in the Promise Land community near Trumann, Bobbie lived all of her life in the Trumann area. She was a homemaker and also worked as a sales clerk for Fred's Dollar Store in Trumann. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Ray Osment, her parents: William C. and Olive Edington Richardson, a sister Stella Howard and 2 brothers: Edward Leon Richardson and Donald Richardson.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Harness of Trumann;
2 sons: Steve Osment and Charles Osment, both of Trumann;
1 brother, Sonny Richardson (Shirley) of St. Charles, Missouri;

5 grandchildren: Jeremy Osment (Misty) , Dallas Osment and Dewayne Meredith all of Trumann, Whitney Bishop (Matt) of Brookland, and Richard Harness (Jennifer) of Jonesboro; and

9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church near Trumann with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include Seth Osment, Wesley Osment, Phillip Hendrix, Scott Osment, Jason Osment and Derek Pippinger.

Honorary pallbearers include Gerald Smith, Larry McMullins, Tommy Wilson, Henry Secrease, Bill Wagner, Elbert Bradford and Danny Pippinger.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 until service time at the church.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society.
