Barbara "Barbie" Brown

January 11, 1963 — October 16, 2011

Barbara “Barbie” Brown, 48, of Jonesboro has resigned from her mortal position on Earth, October 16, and has taken a new position in Heaven’s 100,000 year choir. She was born in Jonesboro where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hoxie Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Funchess, one niece and one nephew.

Survived by her husband, Clyde Brown of the home.

Son, Dylan Faught of Jonesboro and step daughter, Myretha Wheetley of Popular Bluff, Missouri.

Father, James Funchess and wife Linda of Black Rock.

Mother, Thalia Funchess of Jonesboro.

Brothers, Quinn Greer of Roland, Oklahoma and J.D. Greer of Evening Shade, Arkansas.

Sisters, Lana Russell of Black Rock, Vanessa Gray of Sedgwick, Susan Hunt of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Cindy Throgmorton of Pocahontas.

Three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, especially Katherine. Barbie always said “she might be your daughter Susan, but she’s my girl”.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday October 19, at Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Rebecca Lapiro officiating.

Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Tuesday October 18, at Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration be given for final expenses assistance in memory of Barbara Brown, Bank of America, 2500 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
