Barbara Ann (Craft) Walker, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on November 29, 1941, in Jonesboro to the late Hollis and Mary (Goodman) Craft of Bono.
She was a Christian and a member of Bono Church of Christ in her younger years and Nettleton Baptist Church later in life. She had a giving heart and gave to those in need throughout her life, even to her last days. For a period of her life, she was owner of Craft Syrup Company in Bono and farm interests in Craighead and Poinsett Counties. Her most important role was that of a cherished mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family very much. She loved music and shared that love with her children. She also loved holiday gatherings with her family, and our family’s memories of Christmas gatherings with her will be forever cherished.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Elton Reynolds.
Survivors include her children: Kim (Toni) Inboden, Clay (Marsha) Inboden, Paula Inboden, and Emily Swink, all of Jonesboro; and Kevan (Bridgette) Inboden of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren: Lee (Tabitha) Inboden of Jonesboro; Mary Hollis Inboden of Jonesboro; Clay Loran "C.J." (Maleigh) Inboden, Jr. of Bono; Morgan (Austin) Lawhon of Walnut Ridge; Julie (Jeffrey) Tubbs of Jonesboro; Mollie (Mason) Reynolds of Benton; Corey (Evie) Inboden of Fayetteville; Colby (Hailey) Inboden of Fayetteville; and Samuel Swink of Jonesboro; eleven great grandchildren; and sister Betty (John) Klinke of Memphis.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Emerson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Stan Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the chapel. Private burial at Trinity Cemetery in Bono will immediately follow the service. Pallbearers will be Lee Inboden, C.J. Inboden, Corey Inboden, Colby Inboden, Marc Hogue, and Jeffrey Tubbs, and Honorary Pallbearers will be Samuel Swink, Austin Lawhon, Mason Reynolds, Jeff Hogue, and Mickey Dement.
The family would like to thank Barbara's nephew, Marc Hogue, for his love and kindness shown to her throughout her life and during her prolonged illness. Marc was like another son to our mom, and we loved that. We would also like to thank the exceptional, caring staff of the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House who brought peace and comfort to our family and honored our mom with wonderful, compassionate care in her last days. We are forever grateful.
