B. Marie "Rede" Becker

B. Marie “Rede” Becker, 74, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Tuesday morning, January 24, 2006, at her home after a long illness.

Born in Alabama, Mrs. Becker lived many years in Benton Harbor and Coloma, Michigan before moving to Jonesboro in 2001. She was a Probate Court Clerk in Berrien County, Michigan for several years and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband: James Franklin Becker; by 2 sisters: Ruby Stewart and Ina Mae Henley; by 4 brothers: Herbert Meeker, John Meeker, Lionel Meeker, and Wayne Meeker; and her parents: Carrie Luther and Bessie Toney Meeker.

Survivors include:

1 Daughter: Linda Becker of Jonesboro;

2 Sons: David Becker of Plainwell, Michigan, and
Noah Becker of Jonesboro; and

2 Grandchildren: Thomas Becker of Plainwell, Michigan, and
Matthew Shepard of South Bend, Indiana.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening from 2-6 at the family home,
241 CR 426, Jonesboro, AR 72404.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the Temple Baptist Church, 2405 Stadium Blvd., Jonesboro, AR 72401; or to the Brian Parker Foundation, 2469 Lone Elm Drive, Niles, MI 49120.
