Azero E. (Ed) Yeargain, 84, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Brighton, Arkansas, Ed entered the U.S. Army when he was 18 and served 3 years and 8 months of active duty and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Chicago and was employed several years as a dock worker for Claremont Transfer Company, He was a long-time member of Local 710 International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union in Chicago.
Ed was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Patsy Hufford, Pauline Martin and Bernice Looney and a son-in-law, Mark Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Yeargain of the home;
5 daughters and sons-in-law: Denise Gray (David) of Radcliff, Kentucky, D.J. Sanders of Chicago, Illinois, Erica Russell (Martin) of Lexington, Kentucky, Sharon Wagner of Temecula, California and Donna Ferguson (Herb) of McHenry, Illinois;
2 sons: Ed Yeargain (Debi) of Phoenix, Arizona, and David Yeargain of Paragould;
1 sister, Vanetta Bishop of Paragould; 1 brother, Jesse Yeargain of Des Moines, New Mexico;
15 grandchildren: Brian, Quiana, Brea, Thadd, Roger, Scott, Sophia, Evan, Davey, Tyler, Kaileb, Daisy, Julie, Jason and Jamie; 6 great granchildren: Zion, Elijah, Jenna, Layla, Lexi and Emma; a loving uncle to several nephews and nieces; and 2 very faithful canine companions: Samson and Barney.
All services and burial will be private. There will be no visitation.
