Austin Earl Lewis, 91, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, September, 25 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born to the late Robert and Snow Lewis in Carrol County Tennessee on March 16, 1927.

Austin has lived in Jonesboro since 1954 after coming from Paragould. He was a long time member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Austin devoted 38 years of service to the Coca Cola Company in Jonesboro. He was also the Coca Cola Santa during the Christmas season for many years. Austin was very well known as a master furniture refinisher. He was such a giving man, who never met a stranger. Austin was also an Honorary Alpha Tau Omega at Arkansas State University.

In addition to his parents, Austin is preceded in death by his wife Imogene Knopp Lewis, daughter, Lynn Lewis Ratliff, great grandson Nicholas Camferdam, three brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his granddaughters: Allison (Robert) Camferdam and their children Jeffords and Katherine Camferdam of Searcy and Stephanie Elaine (David) Farris and their children Erin and Anna Lynn Farris of Paducah, KY; son in law: Troy Ratliff of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews; he also leaves behind, his special friend: Wilma Lawson; Special friends: Alan (Michele) Lawson and their children Morgan and Madison Lawson all of Jonesboro, Stan Lawson and his son Ross( Cassie) Lawson of Jonesboro;.

A visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 am Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Parker and Brother Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with active pallbearers being: Keith Lewis, Richard Lewis, Wayne Rogers, Cleo Watkins, Stan Lawson, and Curtis McGee.
