Austin Lee Johnson, 39, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2025, at Regional One in Memphis. He was born on June 2, 1985, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro.
Austin had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, frogging, and camping. He was an avid fan of Marvel and comics, always excited to dive into new stories and characters. He cherished time with his three boys, whether playing board games, watching movies, or gaming with his soulmate, Nicole. A lifelong PlayStation enthusiast, he found joy in the competition and camaraderie of gaming.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Johnson; his sister, Faye Lynn; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Geraldine Rieathbaum; his paternal grandmother, Ive Johnson; and his uncle, Kenneth Rieathbaum.
Austin is survived by his loving mother, Frieda Johnson, of the home; his three beloved sons, Dwayne Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, and Thomas Johnson; his brothers, Terry Johnson of Paragould and Richard Johnson of Jonesboro; and his soulmate, Nicole Webb, whom he lovingly called "his lady." He also leaves behind his aunts, Marjie Rollins, Erleine McElya, and Donnie Sutton; a host of cousins; and many other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
