Aubrey Gene Sanders

Aubrey Gene Sanders, age 77 years and 25 days, of Rector passed from this life on February 24 at his home.

He was born January 30, 1942, in Newark, AR to John and Rosalyn (Shown) Sanders who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister Anna Sanders of Quebec Canada and an infant brother Charlie Sanders.

He is survived by his four daughters, Kelley Mayhue and husband Bob of Fort Smith, AR; Carla Latham and husband Tony of Rogers, AR; Cari Gulley and husband Kenneth of Jonesboro, AR; Alisha Williams and fiancé Jerry Williams of Marmaduke, AR; nine grandchildren Ashley Bell, Trevor Latham, Lauren Bell, Mallory Gulley, Madison Mayhue, Natalie Gulley, Mackenzie Mayhue, Damien Williams, Octavia Williams and four great-grandchildren Cameron Bell, Melanie Latham, Olivia Quiroga and Carson Bell.

Mr. Sanders is also survived by his brother John Sanders and wife Vicky of Sikeston, MO; his sisters Minnie Sanders of Kennett, MO and Lynda Crafton of Germantown, TN; nephews Chuck Long, Keith Westerfield, Wendell Sanders, Chris Crafton, Tim Sanders, niece Tracy White and his special friend Mary Garvin of Neelyville, MO.

Mr. Sanders was retired from Emerson Electric in Kennett, MO and worked at The Darling Company in Paragould, AR and Wise Company in Rector, AR. He was a past member of the Senath, MO, Kennett, MO and Rector, AR Jaycees.

The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, February 27 from 5 – 7 pm at the Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E. Nettleton Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
