Athalee "Brownie" Taylor

Athalee “Brownie” Taylor 97, of Jonesboro died peaceably at her home Wednesday September 17, 2008 at South Wind Heights in Jonesboro.

She was born January 23, 1911 in Thornton, Arkansas. She lived most of her life in North Little Rock and ran the family business with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents; G.W. and Emma Hodge Shockley, four brothers; G.W., Jack, Harrison and Bill Shockley, and one sister; Maurine Cathy.

She is survived by a son; Jim Taylor and wife Betsy of Redfield, Arkansas.
Three sisters; Helen Bradley of Jonesboro. Martha Morgan of Fordyce, Arkansas and Jeanette Huneycutt of Yantis, Texas.

One grandson; Will Taylor of Redfield, Arkansas

Two special nieces; Glo McAlister of Jonesboro and Barb Currier of Memphis, Tenn.,
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date, with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.
