Asher Jay Dacus, 21, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020. He was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro and of the Baptist belief. He was a 2018 graduate of Valley View High School. Asher was an avid OKC Thunder fan. He spent many hours working on Jeeps and other vehicles. He was an accomplished computer technician. Asher had a weakness for cookies, any cookies, and all cookies.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Whitney Dacus of Jonesboro; brothers, Gunner Dacus and wife Kamerin of Trumann; Carson Dacus of Jonesboro; sisters, Christian Dacus of Conway; Daly Dacus of Jonesboro; grandparents, Keith and Johannah Broeffle; Gene and Kay Barnett, and Jane Willits all of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 30, 2020, at Emerson Memorial Chapel Don Blackmore officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Mason Gammill, Ray Garza, Trevor Sullivan, Clayton Treat, Gunner Dacus, Carson, Dacus, Darren Parsons, and Jas Turman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Geoffrey Flemmons, Shannon Barnett, Kevin Broeffle, Ryan Powell and Tyler Powell. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
