Arvil "Red" James Simpson

Arvil “Red” James Simpson, 75, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center.  He had lived in Jonesboro for over 34 years, moving here from Michigan.  “Red” loved to bowl and was on a league for many years.  He retired from the City of Jonesboro Street Department.  He was preceded in death by one son, Arvil James Simpson Jr. and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Betty Simpson, of the home; sons, Steve Simpson and Jeff Simpson; sisters, Pat Lange and Sandy Greene; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
