Arthur William Ottoson

Arthur William Ottoson, 67, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, December 2, 2019 at his home. He was born to the late Richard and Mary Lou Ottoson June 16, 1952 in Mineola, New York. He has lived in Jonesboro for the last 6 years after coming from Long Island, New York. Arthur was of the Christian belief. He was such a caring person who loved helping others. Arthur would do anything for anyone. Most of all Arthur loved spending time with his family. He spent his time helping out at the local food bank and was loved by all the people that he lived with, in his community building.

In addition to his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his brother, John Ottoson.
Arthur is survived by three brothers, Thomas (Joanne) Levittown, NY, Randy (Patti) Ottoson of The Villages, Florida, and James (Jean) Ottoson of Jonesboro; sister, Wendy (Skip) Leya of Wantagh, NY; his former wife of many years, Layne Wolitzer and special friend, Ellen Rilling; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 2-3pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow visitation starting at 3pm.
