Anthony Craig Copeland, 60 of Jonesboro passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Anthony was born on March 5, 1964, to James Henry and Fredlene (Tribble) Copeland. He was united in marriage to Sherry Dacus on August 26, 1999, in Jonesboro.
Anthony was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He spent many years of his adult life as a truck driver. For the last 28 years of his career, he was employed by Averitt Express, until he had to retire in 2024 for medical reasons.
Anthony enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, trucks and tractors. He also loved traveling with his wife Sherry, working in the yard, going to ball games and helping on the farm.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Fredlene Copeland; two brothers James Vincent Copeland and John Copeland.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherry of the home; son Alex Copeland (Heather); two daughters Kristen Franklin (Chris) and Jennifer Vaughn (David); sisters Henrietta Roberts (Ken) and Vickie Croll (Jeff); brother Ted Copeland (Veronica); grandchildren Kyla Foster, Addison, Baylen, and Rhett Franklin, Liam and Mason Copeland; bonus grandchildren, Spencer, Raylee, Audric and Gwen and father-in-law, Carroll Dacus; brother-in-law, Billy Dacus (Carla); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Emerson Memorial Chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow starting at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Don Blackmore and Bro. Jay Jacobs officiating. Burial will take place at Macedonia Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include; David Vaughn, Billy Dacus, Eric Dacus, Jim Hart, Brody Foster, and Jeremy Russell.
