Anne T. Johansen

Anne T. Johansen, 88, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Anne was born in Jonesboro and was a 1952 graduate of Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State College. She moved to St. Louis as a young adult and then to Chicago, and also resided in Texas and Missouri before moving back to Jonesboro. Throughout her working life she was a licensed Realtor and a licensed insurance agent.

Anne was a member of the Baptist church and in her later years attended the Church of God on North Main Street. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful prayer warrior who was always in church or bible study somewhere and would invite or take someone if she could.

Anne was active in the Republican Party and enjoyed shopping thrift stores, flea markets and discount shops looking for special deals to purchase, improve and trade up.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Johansen; parents. Fegus Wasson Turner and Alvah Ella Harrison Turner; 2 sisters: Althea Rosemond Bahus and Charlene Marie Duncan; and 7 brothers: Alfred Franklin "Buster" Turner, Fergus Wasson Turner, Jr., Albert Terrell Turner, Lee Roy Turner, Dee Troy Turner, Jerry Allen Turner and Robert Lloyd Turner.

Survivors include 2 sons: Mark Johansen of Jonesboro and Erik Johansen of West Memphis;

3 grandsons: Jason Johansen, Ryan Johansen and Tristan Ray Johansen; and 2 great grandsons: Weston Johansen and Christian Johansen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Spears officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
