Anne Hughes Dortch

Anne Hughes Dortch, 71, of Jonesboro died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born in Jonesboro and lived most of her life here. Anne was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and active in the choir and working with the youth. She enjoyed working with the TOPS weight loss support group and was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Thelma Hughes; brother, Mike Hughes; and father in law, O. C. Dortch.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Carthel Dortch, of the home; sons, Britt Dortch and wife Julie, Jonesboro; Kelly Dortch and wife Gina, West Palm Beach, Florida; daughter Lee Anne Bounds and husband Ray, Jonesboro; eleven grandchildren and three great grand children.

A celebration of life memorial service will be 11:00 Tuesday, May, 6th at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5-7, Monday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
