Anna Claire (Tunell) Riley

Anna Claire (Tunell) Riley, 83, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born December 18, 1932 in Otwell to the late Elmer A. and Varena (Lewis) Tunell. Anna graduated Weiner High School in 1950, where she was a member of the Lady Cardinals Basketball Team. Anna attended Jonesboro Business College and was a member of the banking community for many years. Anna was a member of Friendship Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed singing, gardening, and loved being surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by 1 brother, Lewis Tunell.

Survivors include her 3 children, JR Riley of Harrisburg, Lanny (Marti) Riley of Memphis, Karen Riley Garner of Wynne; Step-daughter, Frances Ramsey of Harrisburg; 1 brother, Earl (Norma) Tunell of Pima, Arizona; 2 sisters, Elsie Tunell Brown of Jonesboro, Julie Tunell Greenstein of Treasure Island, Florida; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A private Graveside service will be Tuesday.
