Anna Lee Rutherford

Anna Lee Rutherford, 92, of Jonesboro passed from this life August 1, 2020 at The Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late Virgil and Maggie McClain on February 4, 1928 in Walnut Ridge. Anna lived in Jonesboro for over 30 years after coming from Walnut Ridge and was of Christian faith. She was a beauty salon owner in Walnut Ridge and soon after became a nurse.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Rutherford, sister, Mary Sullivan, and the father of her children, Norman Welch.

Anna is survived by her son Jim (June) Welch of Jonesboro; two daughters, Brenda Welch and Mary Ann (Bill) Kann both of Memphis; sister, Judy Morton of Hot Springs; granddaughter, Julie Hutchens of Memphis; and three great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 3-5 pm Tuesday August 4, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A private burial will take place Wednesday at 2 pm Wednesday at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
