Ann Mitchell, 72, of Trumann, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. She had lived in Trumann since 1962 where she was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. She was unselfishly devoted to her church and was the piano player there for many years. Ann was an avid gardener and loved her flower beds. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby Young; her brothers, Charles Young, Harold Young, and Billy Young; one sister, Melody Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James Mitchell, of the home; daughter, Vicki (Glenn) Miller; sons, Ricky (Marilyn) Mitchell; Tim (Marsha) Mitchell all of Trumann; one grandson, Hunter Mitchell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Eastside Baptist Church in Trumann with Kenny Guy McMahan, Bobby Brooks and Ken Worthington officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with David Cook, David Dickens, Kenny Gunter, Thomas Liscomb, Kelly Morgan and Barry Copeland serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Mitchell, Joe Bossert, Hunter Mitchell and Terry Mitchell. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time.
