Ann Margaret Burton, age 83, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday evening at Rose SkilCare Nursing Center in Jonesboro where she had resided for the past 2 years.
Born in Engleburg, Arkansas, Mrs. Burton moved to Nettleton in 1925, and lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Society.
She was a member of the St. Bernards Medical Center Auxiliary, the Gladiolus Garden Club, and was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Burton, by her parents: Joe and Trica Liebhaber Muyres, and by a brother: James Muyres.
Survivors include:
2 Brothers: Beno Muyres of Jonesboro, and
Johnny Muyres of Taylor, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Father Mark Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers include: Bud Liebhaber, Tom Liebhaber, Bill DeClerk, David DeClerk, Perry Osborn, Charles Zipfel, and Bobby Puryear.
Honorary pallbearers include members of the Blessed Sacrament Ladies Society.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
A rosary service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
