Margaret “Ann” Beasley, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family. She was born on March 6, 1940, in Louisiana, to Alvin Cummings Borland and Grace Lee Borland. Throughout her life, Ann was many things to many people— faithful Christian, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and dedicated teacher.
Ann’s faith in God was the foundation of her life. A member of First Baptist Church, she loved her Sunday school class and the lasting friendships she shared with those who were part of it.
Ann shared more than 70 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bill Beasley. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. Their travel memories were cherished, whether they were taking cruises or traveling with family and friends. However, their motorcycle trips together held a special place in their hearts. Ann always said it was the best way to see the country.
Above all, Ann treasured her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Kelly, Sharon, and Sandy. Her love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. Ann often showed that love through cooking; she was a wonderful cook who found joy in preparing meals for others and bringing everyone together around the table. The family she nurtured and the generations that followed are a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.
Ann devoted 30 years to education, beginning her teaching career in El Dorado, Arkansas, and later teaching in Ashdown, Arkansas. She spent the final years of her career as a librarian at the Sixth Grade Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she continued to share her love of learning with students.
Ann will be remembered for her faith, adventurous spirit, and enduring devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the example she set will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Cummings Borland and Grace Lee Borland; her sister, Rose Mary Dean; her son, James “Kelly” Beasley; and her grandson, James David Martin. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill Beasley; her daughters, Sharon Martin of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Sandra Beasley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Heather Thrash, Hannah Martin, Rachel Modelevsky, Matthew Modelevsky (Cindie), Mary Margaret Church, and Luke Modelevsky (Holly).
