Ann “Barrett” Williams, 86, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born March 15, 1933 in Jonesboro to the late Dr. E.R. and Lucille Barrett. Ann was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She earned a BS in Business from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. She travelled the world while working for Proctor and Gamble. Ann taught for several years and later retired from the Department of Finance Office of Field Audit.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, cake decorating and most of all helping people. Ann was an avid sports fan who loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and watching tennis. Most of all though she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Perry Williams and brother, Edward Rush Barrett Jr.
Survivors include her son, Barry (Carrie) Smith; daughters, Nancy (Andy) Tucker, Denise (Lahcen) Alkouze all of Jonesboro; sister, Nancy (Richard) Wilson of Des Plaines, Illinois; 4 grandchildren: Stephanie (Matt) Rose, Andrew Tucker, Matthew Smith, Miriam Alkouze and 2 great grandchildren, Maddox Rose and McKenzie Rose all of Jonesboro.
Memorial service will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:30 am at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Shewmaker officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service.
