Anita Faye Arnold, 71, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Anita was a native and life-long resident of Jonesboro. She, along with her husband Paul, owned and operated several businesses in the Jonesboro area including restaurants, rental properties and land development.
Anita was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and staying abreast of current events through television news programs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Arnold, by her parents, Kermit and Mary L. Snow Langston; by six brothers: Ralph, Charles, Ronnie, Roy, Jerry, and Danny Langston, and by four sisters, Nadine Calkin, Freda Vick, Shirley Story and Linda Kay Davis.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Wagoner of Walcott; a niece who is also her care giver, Robin Williams of the home; a “chosen” grandson, Colin Moore of the home; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Elvis Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Josh Huff, Randy Pugsley, David Calkin, Rick Story, Tim Richmond, and Charles Jeffries. Honorary pallbearers include A.J. Moore, Roy Bennett, Paul Calkin, Paul Wayne Calkin, Bill Wade, Lonnie Roberts, Lonnie Schales and Aaron Dale Pugsley, III.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
