Angela Gail Thompson, 54, passed from this life May 16, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Jonesboro on July 29, 1966 to Peggy and Warren Gallion. Angela is preceded in death by her father, Warren Gallion.
Angela was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, where she attended and was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She retired as a nurse after working many years for NEA Baptist Hospital. In her spare time, she was a member of the Craighead County Master Gardeners. She also loved traveling, especially to Natchez, MS. An animal lover, Angela loved her dogs very much. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Angela is survived by her husband of 33 years, Randy Thompson; her mother, Peggy Gallion of Jonesboro; her son, Nathan Thompson (Brianna) of Paragould; her daughter, Nicole Thompson (Greg) of Jonesboro; her brothers, Joe Gallion (Karen) of Jonesboro and Jonathan Gallion (Lisa) of Franklin, TN; her sisters, Marie Hunter (Danny) of Williford and Tressa White (Alex) of Malaysia; and her granddaughter, Amelia Thompson.
A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home. The committal service will be the following day, 10:30am Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Rock Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Angela’s Chiropractor, Dr. Lori Dryer, and Darlene Shipman and Dr. Matthew Hendrix of St. Bernard’s for taking care of her.
