Amy Suzanne Williams, 40, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived her lifetime in Jonesboro. Amy was a special education clerk at Westside Schools. She was a Westside graduate and also graduated from Arkansas State University. She loved arts and crafts and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids around the pool. She was preceded in death by Brad Barker, her brother.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Williams, of the home; son, Jared Williams (Lindsey) of Paragould; daughters, Tara Woods (John) of Bono; Madison Williams of Paragould; father, Ray Barker of Salem; mother, Kay Wimpy (Gaylon) of Jonesboro; brothers, Jason Barker, Drew Barker, Mark Wimpy And Perry Wimpy all of Jonesboro; sisters, Leslie Barker and Lindsey Cox of Salem; grandchildren, Hayden Woods and Drew Woods; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jerry Jolly and Jerry Parker officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Keller’s Chapel Cemetery with Dustin Tubbs, Daniel Tubbs, John Pickering, Lance Pickering, Milo Ball, Jared Williams, John Woods and Cory Porter serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
