Amir Masoud Neshat

August 5, 1946 — March 30, 2006

Amir Masoud “Mike” Neshat, 59, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, in Montclair, California. Mosoud was born in Tehran, Iran, on August 5, 1946 to Seyed Mahmood Neshat and Azra Khodaverdi. He became a United States citizen in 1986.

He attended Alborz High School and upon graduation attended Lahore University in Pakistan earning his BSME degree. He then attended the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles earning his MSISE. Later, he attended Pepperdine University earning his MBA.

He worked for British Petroleum, FMC Corporation, Eaton Corporation, Thermador of Masco Corporation, and was Director of Engineering for Douglas-Quikcut of Berkshire Hathaway Corporation. He presently served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for HTI Technology and Industries Corporation.

He held 26 United States patents and was a member of the advisory council for Underwriters Laboratories from 1987-1992.

He was of the Muslim faith, and was preceded in death by his father, Seyed Mahmood Neshat.

Survivors include:
His Wife: Liane Neshat;

2 Daughters: Ahzahdeh Suzan Neshat, age 16, and
Ariana Yasmine Neshat, age 4, both of the home;

1 Son: Armeen Mehran Neshat of the home;

Mother: Azra Khodaverdi of Tehran, Iran;

2 Brothers: Sina Neshat, and
Mehran Neshat, both of Los Angeles;

3 Nieces: Neda Neshat of Los Angeles,
Tara Phelps Cubie of Princeton, New Jersey, and
Laura Phelps of Detroit, Michigan; and

1 Great Niece: Paulina Cubie of Princeton.

A memorial service was held in Ontario, California on Sunday, April 10 at the Riverside-Peterson Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon, April 15, at 1:00 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
