Amanda Jane Shopher

Amanda Jane Shopher, 60 of Jonesboro passed from this life May 8, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center.  She was born July 13, 1957 in Jonesboro to Samuel and Katherine Higdon Mitchell.  Amanda enjoyed cooking, fishing and yardwork.  She is a member of the Freedom Church of NEA and she had worked at Massanelli’s Dry Cleaners.  Amanda was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy, Steve, and Rickey Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; 4 sisters, Kathy Barber, Nett Bobbitt, Carol Johnson, Joy (Jerry) Stevens; 5 brothers, Tim Mitchell, Randy McGuire, Rickey (Pam) Metcalf, Roger Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 5-7 PM.  Services will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at Emerson Memorial Chapel at 10:30 AM with Don Cook and C.L. Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetey.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Metcalf, Donny Roedel, Mike Bobbitt, Buddy Mitchell, Mitchell Barber and Justin Barber.
