Alvin Wayne Mcnatt

Alvin Wayne McNatt, 84, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born on January 6, 1940, to the late Collis and Aline McNatt in Brookland, Arkansas, Alvin led a life filled with passion, love, and a profound connection to the outdoors.

Alvin was a devoted member of Woods Chapel Church. His zest for life was evident in his many hobbies, which included hunting rabbits, deer, and elk. Alvin's love for riding horses and mules was a defining aspect of his character – throughout his entire life, a horse was his constant companion.

A true adventurer, Alvin, and his brother hosted the popular McNatt Brothers Rodeo every Saturday night, showcasing their love for the equestrian world and creating lasting memories for the community. Alvin's vibrant spirit and love for the outdoors were palpable – he could rarely be found inside his house unless illness confined him. His days were spent joyously piddling around in the open air.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis McNatt.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Velta McNatt, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their love was an enduring testament to the strength of their bond. Alvin is also survived by his son, Ted McNatt, and wife Trish of Jonesboro, his brother Bill McNatt and wife Linda of Jonesboro, sister Freda Couch of Jonesboro, and grandson Trandon McNatt of Trumann.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, January 12, 2024, starting at 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will start at 10:30 a.m., all taking place at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Lingenfelter officiating.

Alvin will be laid to rest at Pine Log Cemetery. Active pallbearers, including Jack Story, Calvin Covington, Wayne McNatt, Terry McNatt, Terron McNatt, and Mike Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Pine Log Cemetery at 11656 Hwy 49 N, Brookland, AR, 72417, in honor of Alvin Wayne McNatt's memory.
