Alvin L. Hill

Alvin L. Hill, 81, of Trumann died Thursday at NEA Baptist Medical Center. He was a member of Bay First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Bay High School. He was also a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and helped with the Little Rock Nine school desegregation at Central High School in Little Rock.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Keith and Helen Hill of Irving, Texas; a brother Henry A. Hill of Bay Manet, Alabama; grandchildren, Kaleb Allen Hill and Rachel Ann Hill; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joann and his parents, Herman C. and Clara Hurd Hill.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bay First Baptist Church with Brother Danny Taylor officiating.

For those wishing to leave lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to Bay First Baptist Church.

Burial will be private.
