Alvin Lavon Crabtree

Alvin “Bud” Crabtree, 76, of Bono, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1949, in Valley View, Arkansas, to Clyde Crabtree and Adell Wheeler.

Bud spent most of his life in Bono after moving there from Lepanto, Arkansas. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Bono Church of Christ.

Bud was a hardworking man who took great pride in the life he built for his family. He was the proud owner of a construction company for 29 years, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, Bud enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially loved tending to his cows. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and the memories they made together.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Crabtree and Adell Wheeler; one brother; and four sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Crabtree of Bono; two sons, Jeff Crabtree of Bono and Jason (Misti) Crabtree of Bono; one sister, Wanda (Jack) Looney of Greenfield; two grandchildren, Dakota (Katy Ann) Crabtree of Bono and Matthew (Allison) Crabtree of Brookland; and one great-grandchild, Colt Crabtree.

A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16 from 1:00-2:00 pm with a funeral service following at 2:00 with Matthew Crabtree officiating.

Bud will be lovingly remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors and his cattle, and most of all, his devotion to his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
