Alvin Brown

Alvin Brown, 77, of Lunsford, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at his home of natural causes.

Born in Dixie, Alvin lived all of his life in Dixie, Brookland, Paragould and Lunsford. He was a retried automobile mechanic and a member of Lunsford Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and gardening. He deeply loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Edna Smith Brown; 4 brothers: Herbert, Omi, George and Hurdle Brown; and 2 sisters: Dorothy Burgess and Bertha Rankin.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ceprianna Sue Brown of the home;

4 daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Tom Underwood of Paragould,
Edna and Billy Moore of Harrisburg, and Annette Foster and Melanie Rogers, both of Bay;

2 sons and daughters-in-law: Vince and Jennifer Brown, and Anthony and Mikka Brown, all of Jonesboro;

1 brother, Odie Brown; and
3 sisters: Rose Bailey, Alberta Biehl and Jeane Guertin;

18 grandchildren: T.J. Underwood, Christian Underwood, Sean Underwood, Caley Brown Griffith, Josh Brown, Nicolas Box, Jake Caudle, Amber Blake, Cody Moore, Ashley Moore, Tiffany Hoke, Chance Curtner, Zoie Brown, Madeline Brown, Dillon Clements, Trevor Clements, Alexis Brown and Cameron Brown; and

6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: Kenny Walker, Ken Bell, Vince Brown, Anthony Brown, Billy Moore and Brian Dickens.
Honorary pallbearers include: Ricky Sanchez, Billy Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, Leo Lancaster, Donald Hays, Larry Caudle, Michael Forehand and Donald Forehand.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
