Alma Jean May, 61, of Trumann died Tuesday September 9, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Hospital. She was born in Dyess, Arkansas on August 6, 1953 to the late Bobby Joe and Helen Townsend Rowland. She had lived in Trumann for 2 years, moving there from the Jonesboro area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nettleton Worship Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Joann Bowman, brother; Bobby Rowland and a granddaughter; Ashley May.
Survived by her husband; David May Sr. of the home.
Sons; David May Jr. (Angela) of Trumann.
Tommy Crowder (Jody) of Jonesboro.
Daughters; Glenda Copeland and Angela Goforth (Gerald) all of Trumann.
Brothers; Buddy Rowland of Dyess, Wayne Rowland of Ravenden and Don Rowland of Dyess.
Sisters; Bobby Sue Rowland of Texas, Patsy Barrett of Jonesboro, Peggy Fine of Lepanto, Laura Long of Dyess, Jean Ann Rowland of Jonesboro, Virginia Copeland of West Ridge, Arkansas and April Wilbanks of Jonesboro.
11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday September 12, 2014 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian Adams officiating. Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Thursday September 11, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bradley May.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that lasting memorials be made to the Nettleton Worship Center, 4600 E. Nettleton Ave. Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
