Alma G. Hartwig Perry

Alma G. Hartwig Perry, 81, of Lake City, Arkansas, died Tuesday evening, April 11, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Lake City, Mrs. Perry lived in Michigan, Las Vegas, Nevada and Florida before moving back to Lake City 5 years ago. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Highland Drive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Perry was a graduate of Arkansas State College and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Delta Gamma Delta. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Perry, by a brother: Charles Hartwig, by a sister: Edith Atkerson, and by her parents: Dr. Carl D. and Bess Hauger Hartwig.

Survivors include:

Sister-in-law: Vestal Hartwig of Memphis;

2 Nephews: Chuck Atkerson, and
Robert Atkerson, both of Jonesboro;

1 Niece: Debbie Rigsbee of Bay;

5 Great Nephews;
2 Great Nieces;
7 Great, Great Nieces; and
2 Great, Great Nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
