Allen Wayne Rogers

Allen Wayne Rogers, 62, of Trumann, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at his home of natural causes.

Born in Jonesboro, Allen grew up in Bay and was a 1975 graduate of Bay High School. He moved to Trumann in 1990 and has lived the last 30 years there. Allen worked all of his adult life in the automotive profession both as an over-the-road truck driver and a truck and auto mechanic.

Allen enjoyed raising and working in his vegetable garden and sharing its bounty with friends and family. He loved watching basketball on television and was an excellent small engine mechanic. Allen could literally fix anything and was typically inventing tools to solve issues and problems. He was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Rogers.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Rogers of Bay;
1 brother and sister-in-law, Harvey B. and Julie Rogers of Bay;
3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret Louise Patrick of Atoka, Tennessee,
Donna and Paul Rains of Paragould and
Paula and Bill Barnhill of Jonesboro; and
several nephews and nieces and several great nephews and great nieces.

Private family funeral services will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel With Rev. Jerry Jolly officiating. Based on the Center for Disease Control guidelines and recommendations pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic, the private funeral service will be for family members only. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
