Allen J Brown

Allen J. Brown, 73, of Brookland passed from this life on Monday, November 27th, 2017 at his home.

Allen was born on February 25, 1944 to the late Allen E. and Ruthie Brown in Harrisburg. He lived most of his life in Denver, Colorado and Nebraska, but lived in Brookland the past 16 years. Allen served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and left the military as a Staff Sergeant after 8 years of service. Allen was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

In addition to his parents, Allen is also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Vest, and one brother, Buford Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Brown of the home, sons, Andy (Lori) Brown of Plantation, Floria, Jonathan (Alena) Brown of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Shannon McClung of Nashville, Tennessee; daughters, Robin (Marc) Robins of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Tara McElmurry of Toronto, Ontario; brother, Tommy (Karen) Brown of Jonesboro; sisters, Sharon Gomez of Paris, Tennessee, Patricia (Dino) Enlow of Miami, Oklahoma, Barbara (Jim) Atkins of Paris, Tennessee, Twilia Redd of Harrisburg, and Vanessa (Jerry) Debeney of Jonesboro as well as 13 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandchildren, Katy, Liz, Grace, Faith, Joshua, Chloeanna, Micah, Caleb, Josiah, Nehemiah, Corbin, Liam, and Caleb.
