Alice Jeter Farrell

Alice Jeter Farrell, 81, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, January 02, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Alice was born in Jonesboro and lived most of her life here. She was a 1947 graduate of Jonesboro High School and graduate of Linwood College, the University of Arkansas, and Arkansas State University.

She taught elementary school for a few years then returned to college and earned a degree in Nursing and retired as a Registered Nurse. Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Madelyn Jeter, and by a son, Stephen Farrell.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Pamela Farrell of Jonesboro;

2 grandchildren, Stephanie Farrell Ward and Jason Lara Farrell, both of Jonesboro;

1 great granddaughter, Taylor Ward of Jonesboro;

1 sister, Sandy Rice, and 1 niece, Cindy Noah, both of Beebe.

Funeral services and burial will be private. There will be no visitation.
