Alice De La Torre

Alice F. de La Torre, 73, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of the Cleveland Christian Fellowship.

Alice’s career was in the field of cosmetology which gained her many awards. She was head instructor at Al Tate Beauty College in Pasadena, California for 18 years. She taught reflectology, skin care and color at UCLA—Los Angeles. She was involved in many styling shows and television appearances.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Parnell and Alta Lee Sullins Parnell.

She is survived by her children: Terry Lynn Doyle of Rogers, AR and Teresa K. Henry and husband, Tim Henry of Cleveland, TN; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Minton and husband, Scott Minton of Little Rock, AR.

Services will be conducted in the chapel of Emerson Funeral Home Friday at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. a t the funeral home. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery in Bono.
