Alice Laverne Bryant, 69, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, May 28th at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Pocahontas on July 20, 1943 she lived most of her life in Jonesboro, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Alice was a licensed local minister in the Methodist church and was a teacher at Valley View for over 30 years.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, William J. Cook and Beulah Lou Corn; husband, Tom D. Bryant; and a sister, Louise Cook.
Alice is survived by a son Alan (Rhonda) Bryant of Friendswood, Texas; two grandchildren, Aaron and Taylor Bryant of Friendswood, Texas; three brothers, William (Shirley) Cook, Carl (Christine) Cook, and Ralph (Margaret) Cook, all of Jonesboro; one sister, Dorothy Jansen of Schererville, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Charles Sigman and Jim Bryant officiating.
The family requests lasting memorials to go to St. Paul United Methodist Church choir fund located at 2201 South Culberhouse, Jonesboro, Ar. 72401.
