Alfrieda J. Hollihan, 77, of Trumann, died Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was born in Trumann on September 24, 1946, to Stanley and Elsie Peeler. She had lived in Trumann most of her life. She was of the Baptist belief. She worked as a payroll clerk at Roach Manufacturing until she retired. In addition to loving Cardinal’s baseball games, she also enjoyed cooking and sewing. Spending time camping, fishing, and gardening were things she enjoyed. While in high school she was a high jumper/runner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Burney Ray Peeler, and one sister, Susie Peeler Scott.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married in 1967, Jerry Hollihan of the home; son, Gregory Hollihan of Arkansas; sisters, Elaine Peeler Gibbs and husband Bill of Harrisburg; Linda Peeler Madden and husband Larry of Tyronza; granddaughter, Whitney Hollihan Rogers and husband, Arthur; great granddaughters, Aria Rose Rogers and Alaiyah Reah Rogers.
The funeral service will be 2:00 Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Darrel Miller officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow at Willis Cemetery with Dakota Kain, Bill Gibbs, Chris Kain and Brandon Peeler serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time.
